Delta, American Airlines and Continental Airlines are just some of the international airlines flying into Guanacaste several times a week. With the ongoing and increasing development in Guanacaste, it will not be long before other continents start flying directly to Liberia.

By Car (4 hours driving from San Jose to Azul Paraíso)
Traveling by car is the best means of transport in Guanacaste, since public transport does not service the entire region or all of its main attractions. Car travel has many advantages, allowing you to reach secluded areas while enjoying the breathtaking scenery at your own pace. The Pan-American Highway is the main highway running through Costa Rica and is usually very good for traveling. Roads do have signs, but it is a good idea to carry a travel map.
Renting a Car
Renting a car is easy in Guanacaste. There are several car rentals at the Daniel Oduber International Airport. If arriving by plane, you can make the necessary arrangements in advance. You must be 21 years old (some car rentals require you to be 24), you must have a valid license and passport and a $1500 deposit is necessary. This deposit is usually charged to a credit card and refundable once the car has been returned. Coco Beach, 3 km from Ocotal Beach, also has a car rental service. Should you later decide to rent a car, you can always ask your Azul Paraíso concierge for assistance. Why not try something different and hire a scooter to enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Ocotal Beach is located in a secured area just 3 km southwest of Coco Beach. You are more than welcome to drop by at any time to go over the project with our sales Representatives. Contact us if you would like to set an appointment.
Getting to Azul Paraíso is very easy. Just follow the signs. In the main road of Coco Beach, there is an Azul Paraíso sign right in front of the Ocotal/Playa El Coco turn. Shortly after this sign, there is a sign for Ocotal Beach indicating a left turn. Turn left here and continue 3 km following the main paved road. You will find several Azul Paraíso signs along the way, so you will know you are not lost. You will arrive to a gated community on your left, turn here and drive through the gated entrance and continue 350 ft. The Azul Paraíso offices are blue and are before the Ocotal Beach Resort. Health Services
Costa Rica’s health standards are the highest in Latin America. The country has top quality health care facilities. Public and private hospitals are available, open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Cima Hospital - one of the country’s best health care centers - will open its doors in Liberia. It is renowned for its first class facilities and long tradition of patient care. This private hospital is affiliated to the Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. The CIMA Hospital is structured according to the typical North American medical center. Dental care is also excellent in Costa Rica. Whether you need emergency dental treatment or just a simple check up, this can be easily organized in Liberia or San Jose. There are many well-stocked pharmacies throughout the country. Take note that some medications requiring a prescription in the United States may not need one in Costa Rica.
Communications
Rest assured that you will not be out of the loop in Costa Rica. Communications are excellent allowing you to stay in touch with friends and family both abroad or in the country. Internet and phone lines are easily installed in Azul Paraíso. We will have our own phone and Internet provider meaning instant phone line connections and high speed Internet Postal and telegraph services are available throughout the country enabling you to quickly and efficiently send and receive mail. In addition to the government postal service, DHL and FedEx also provide postal and courier services in Costa Rica.
